Male LUTS Clinical Intensive:

Assessment, Interpretation & Conservative Management for Pelvic Floor Physiotherapists

A full-day deep-dive into male LUTS for pelvic floor physiotherapist— bladder diary interpretation, differential diagnosis, and the biopsychosocial model applied to benign prostatic hyperplasia and OAB.

That's the level this course operates at. Not "how to treat men." Not male pelvic anatomy from scratch. Those courses exist, and most of you have already done them. This one goes deep on BPH and OAB — so the men you already see get care that matches the specificity of what they're living with.

And once you see how to read a bladder diary properly — how to spot nocturnal polyuria vs reduced bladder capacity vs fluid mobilization vs an upper-tract pattern — you'll wonder how you ever practiced without it.

This Course Is For You If…

You already treat male clients and want BPH-specific depth

You can interpret a bladder diary at a basic level but want to go deeper on nocturia patterns, upper-tract vs LUTS, and red flags

Want to know treatment contraindications in this population

You want to confidently distinguish OAB from BPH-driven storage symptoms in a male presentation

You want tools for evaluating sensitization and applying a biopsychosocial lens to male LUTS

You want the mixed storage-plus-obstruction picture demystified — clear reasoning, not guesswork

FAQ

This Is NOT For You If…

✘ You're looking for a general introduction to male pelvic health (we assume you have completed basic pelvic floor courses for men)

✘ You're looking for a post-prostatectomy surgical rehab course (this is BPH-focused)

✘ You want a passive webinar you can half-watch while doing charting

✘ You're not willing to participate in breakout groups and case discussions

FAQ's

Q: Do I need prior experience in male pelvic health?

A: This course assumes you already see male clients or have foundational pelvic health training. You don't need to be a male health specialist — but this isn't the place to learn male pelvic anatomy or basic assessment from scratch. We move efficiently through foundations so we can go deep on BPH-specific clinical reasoning.

Q: Will I receive a certificate?

A: Yes.

• Certificate of completion for 6 CPD contact hours

• Awarded on achieving 80% (16/20) on the course quiz; one retake permitted

• Supports Canadian physiotherapists’ self-directed continuing-competence records

• US CE approval to come in the future— join the waitlist to be notified first

Q: What's the difference between this and a general male pelvic health course?

A: A general male pelvic health course gives you breadth — post-prostatectomy, chronic pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, with BPH as one piece. This course gives you depth on one condition. You'll leave able to distinguish OAB from BPH, interpret bladder diaries with nuance (including upper-tract vs LUTS patterns), recognise when bladder retraining is contraindicated, evaluate for sensitisation, and apply a biopsychosocial lens to male LUTS. If you already treat men with BPH and feel like you're working in general terms, this is built for you.

Q: Is this course live or pre-recorded? And When?

A: Live and interactive. The breakout groups, case study discussions, and Q&A are a core part of the learning experience. This is not a passive webinar.

Exact date to be determined. Jan/Feb 2027 likely

Q: What if I can't attend the live date?

A: A recording will be available for a limited time (2 weeks) after the event. However, the live experience — especially the breakout groups — is where the real learning happens. We strongly recommend attending live.

Q: What is the benefit of joining the waitlist?

Those on the waitlist will be given first change to sign up at a founding members price. There will be limited seats available at a highly discounted rate for the pilot launch, in exchange for feedback and testimonials, to make the course better.
